Barrington Area Regional Connectivity Plan

In October 2025, BACOG finalized the Barrington Area Regional Connectivity Plan.

This Plan is the culmination of over 2 years of committee work, research, and public engagement. It identifies specific bike and pedestrian path projects that can maximize safe non-motorized access to schools, commercial centers, transit, and recreation areas across the region. They include projects on local, county, and state roads, crossing municipal, township, and county boundaries. Once completed, these projects will enhance the quality of life of residents across the region.

Moving forward, BACOG will work to build the level of cooperation among residents and multiple governments required to bring these projects to reality.

We are grateful to the BACOG Connectivity Committee for their work identifying the best places to improve bike and pedestrian access in our region. We also appreciate all the residents for their feedback and help guiding the development of this Plan.
