BACOG’s Local Government Education Initiative is a partnership with Barrington CUSD 220 that recognizes the promise of young leaders in our community and the importance of facilitating opportunities for them to engage with government at its most local level. The initiative seeks to:
- Provide Barrington Area students with a window into the operations and role of local government;
- Inspire students and their families to engage with their local governments;
- Help students identify and understand the universe of career opportunities that exist in the local government industry; and
- Provide BACOG Members with opportunities to gather input and ideas from the region’s young leaders.
BACOG is working to establish the organization and its Members as a resource for Barrington CUSD 220 to create and enhance local government education opportunities for area students. Many thanks are owed to the Barrington 220 teachers and staff for their incredible efforts and commitment to the region’s students.
